In the next two weeks, I have FOUR cake smashes scheduled-- the surprising part is that all of them are for little girls! July 2019 must have been a month for little girls to make their debut! Thea was such a perfect little model and was truly an angel! My Sophie-Bunny is next on the schedule and I don't think she will be nearly as ladylike as sweet little Thea. Thea's Mama wanted a "light boho" theme to match Thea's nursery and I think the romper and headband she chose were just perfect for that! I love having "light" themes for cake smashes. This makes for really beautiful and timeless images of Baby, like these, without a ton of props distracting from the star of the show!
I love doing a good amount of portraits before the actual smash! Once you show baby the cake--there is no going back! Every photo from then on will have cake on hands, hair, clothes, and usually feet too! Gotta get plenty of nice and *clean* photos of that beautiful girl!!!
Is she not just the most adorable little thing?! Her sweet expressions just melt me! She kept looking up at Mama to make sure it was okay that she was going to dig in!
Safe to say she ABSOLUTELY LOVED her birthday cake! It was so much fun working with her Mama and collaborating on the overall look she was wanting! Happy First Birthday, Thea!!!
